The Seiwa-en Japanese Gardenat Missouri Botanical Garden is popular with St. Louis residents. The arched wood bridge to Teahouse Island is photogenic from various locations in the garden. The boardwalk which is surrounded with water irises that bloom in the late spring - early summer is a favorite with adults and children alike, while children are attracted to the koi fish that can be fed and observed from another bridge. In spring and autumn the garden is painted with lovely colors and if you can get the timing and light right, the wisteria that blooms on Teahouse Island is gorgeous. Visiting after a fresh snow on a crisp cold day one can find peace and tranquility. Truly this garden can be enjoyed throughout the year.
